Social inclusion
Programme Area, Social Inclusion
A place at the table for every young person.
We design programmes that open real opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds, building bridges of belonging across the Euro-Mediterranean. Our work is about presence, not pity. About participation, not permission.

Inclusion is not a favour, and equality is not a gift. They are starting points. Our work begins where every young person, whatever their background, is treated as a partner with something to bring.
Our Approach
How we work towards real inclusion
01
Listening First
Every programme begins with the people we serve, not assumptions about them. We sit with communities, listen to what is needed, and design from there. No deficit framing, no rescue narrative.
02
Real Spaces, Real Practice
Inclusion happens in physical and digital spaces, not on paper. We create training rooms, exchange programmes, and community projects where exclusion patterns are challenged in practice, not just discussed.
03
Long-term Belonging
We do not disappear when the project budget ends. Our relationships with participants, partners, and communities are built to last. Continuity is what turns a workshop into a life change.
Our Programmes
Six ways we open doors
Erasmus+ KA1 / KA2
Mobility & Cooperation Partnerships
Youth exchanges, training courses, and strategic partnerships across Europe and the southern Mediterranean. We send and receive young people in projects designed around inclusion themes, with priority given to participants with fewer opportunities.
European Solidarity Corps
Volunteering & Solidarity Projects
Long-term and short-term volunteering placements with host organisations working in inclusion, education, and community development. ESC is one of the most powerful tools for direct cross-cultural exchange between young Europeans and their southern partners.
Sport for Inclusion
Football, Athletics & Outdoor
Sport as a tool for belonging, teamwork, and personal development. We run football tournaments, athletics meets, and outdoor activity weeks that bring together young people from different backgrounds and create lasting bonds beyond the field.
Anti-discrimination
Training & Bystander Workshops
Practical workshops for youth and youth workers on recognising, naming, and responding to discrimination. We focus on bystander skills, peer education, and creating shared language for young people to call out exclusion when they see it.
Digital Inclusion
Skills, Access & Online Safety
Closing the digital gap through skills training, device access programmes, and online safety education. We work especially with young people from rural areas and underconnected communities, so that no one is left behind in the digital transition.
Mediation & Dialogue
Bridging Communities
Facilitated conversations across cultural, religious, and economic divides. Our mediators are trained to hold difficult conversations and create space where young people on different sides of a divide can meet, listen, and find common ground.
Who our work is for
Inclusion programming reaches its strongest impact when designed with and for the young people most often left out of mainstream opportunities. We prioritise the following groups across our programmes.
Group 01
Migrant & refugee backgrounds
Group 02
Young people with disabilities
Group 03
Rural & economically disadvantaged areas
Group 04
Minority ethnic backgrounds
Group 05
Care-experienced young people
Group 06
NEET young people
