Environmental Education
Programme Area, Environmental Education
From awareness to action.
We turn environmental knowledge into community practice. Climate change, water scarcity, and waste are not distant problems. They are daily realities, and young people are the generation that will design the response.

"
The environment is not abstract. It is the air your community breathes, the water it drinks, and the land it inherits. Our work begins where young people stop waiting for someone else to act.
Our Approach
From classroom to community
01
Direct Action
Every programme includes community action days: clean-ups, tree planting, sorting setup, or awareness campaigns. Participants do not just learn about the environment. They improve it within the programme timeline.
02
Local Expertise
We partner with local environmental associations, municipal services, and water authorities to ensure our content is accurate, relevant, and connected to real infrastructure and policy on the ground.
03
Visible Results
Every programme produces something the community can see: planted trees, sorting stations, awareness materials, cleaner public spaces. This builds credibility and motivates participation beyond the programme itself.
Our Programmes
Six paths to environmental action
Erasmus+ KA1
Green Youth Exchanges
Short-term mobility programmes that bring together young environmental actors from across Europe and the southern Mediterranean. Each exchange focuses on a shared challenge such as water scarcity, biodiversity loss, or waste reduction, with hands-on learning across borders.
European Solidarity Corps
Volunteering for the Climate
Long-term volunteering placements with environmental organisations, conservation projects, and sustainability-focused community groups. Volunteers contribute to real action while gaining direct experience in environmental practice and community organising.
Community Action
Green Ground
Our flagship programme combining education with direct action. Participants attend bi-weekly workshops on climate, waste, water, and biodiversity, paired with community action days where they lead clean-ups, tree planting, or recycling drives in their own neighbourhoods.
Waste & Recycling
Zero Waste Neighbourhoods
A focused programme on waste reduction at the neighbourhood level. Participants learn sorting, composting, and upcycling, then design and implement a waste reduction initiative in their own community with measurable, lasting results.
Train the Trainer
Environmental Guardians
A training-of-trainers programme creating environmental educators for communities across the region. Each graduate commits to delivering at least 5 awareness sessions in their community, multiplying programme impact far beyond the original cohort.
Water & Climate
Water Conservation Campaigns
A programme designed for communities facing water stress. Participants learn through field visits to water infrastructure, expert sessions, and team-led awareness campaigns. Outputs include posters, social media content, and workshop guides communities use independently.
Who our work is for
Environmental programming reaches its strongest impact when it puts young people directly into local action. We prioritise the following groups across our programmes.
Group 01
Youth interested in environmental action
Group 02
Neighbourhood-based action teams
Group 03
Future environmental educators
Group 04
Communities facing water scarcity
Group 05
Schools and youth centres
Group 06
Local environmental associations
Take the next environmental step with us.
